When I travel to places that are new to me, I try to seek out local writing – to read in cafés, at the beach or on a park bench, or back at my accommodation after a long day of exploring the sights, sounds, and tastes, whether in a city or in nature. Bornholm seemed to have a lot of stories to tell, but not many of them had been told in English. Creating "A Bornholm Reader" turned into a veritable journey of discovery, and I hope the book, through its universal themes and personal perspectives, can inspire readers on their own journeys.
